IT'S VERY SIMPLE
Bring from home: swimwear, a bathrobe, and possibly some snacks and drinks. Water is available on the boat, and there is a small fridge for any drinks you bring. Plates, cutlery, and cups are also on board.

Make sure to arrive 30 minutes before departure. You’ll receive an explanation from us about using De Saunaboot and safety on board.

Once you've sailed the boat to the lake, choose a nice spot, anchor, and the enjoyment can begin!
DE SAUNABOOT
ONTO THE LAKE
If the concept of a sauna or sauna boat is new to you, don't worry! We'll guide you through the entire process step by step.
SAILING
ANCHORING
Once you've chosen a spot, position the boat with the bow facing the wind, and wait until it comes to a stop.
Throw the anchor out, and when you see that the boat is steady, it's time to start sweating!
You steer the boat yourself! No boating license is required, and we’ll provide you with a detailed instruction on-site. You’ve got this!
Note: If there’s too much wind, you cannot go on the lake. We’ll confirm the sailing conditions a day before. If it’s not possible, we offer to reschedule or let you use the sauna in the harbor at a reduced price.
RETURN JOURNEY
Once you're done sweating, you raise the anchor and sail back to the harbor.
At the harbor, we’ll be ready to welcome you and guide you in docking.
WE'RE HERE
We will personally welcome you at the harbor and tell you everything you need to know about the boat and the sauna.
The sauna will already be nicely heated so you can enjoy it as soon as you're on the water.
If you have any questions, you can always call us.
THE SAUNA
The experience on De Saunaboot truly begins with the heat. A real wood-fired stove is at the heart of the it.
SAUNA
TEMPERATURE
When you take the sauna with you, it will already be nicely heated. You control the temperature by adding wood, so keep an eye on the fire.
By pouring water on the stones, you can briefly increase the humidity, making the air feel hotter and helping your perspiration to start more quickly.
The wood-fired sauna can accommodate up to 8 people. There are two levels to choose from, depending on how much heat you want to experience.
You can enjoy the view over the Wijde Blik, watch the flames in the stove, or simply lie back with your eyes closed, gently swaying on the water.
COOL DOWN
According to many sauna enthusiasts, the best part of the sauna: cooling down!
From De Saunaboot, you can of course go straight into the natural water; calmly down the steps or with a splash! You can also choose to cool down in the fresh air or pour some water over yourself or each other.
In general, the routine is sauna, cooling down, and resting. Experienced sauna users stay in the heat for about 15 minutes. Our advice: mainly do what feels right for you.
The only thing you really need to watch out for is drinking enough water to replenish the fluids lost.
