ARNE & MARIA
Arne is from the Netherlands, and Maria is from Sweden. At the beginning of their relationship, Maria took Arne to a sauna boat. He wasn’t into saunas or boats, but that changed during those first few hours on a sauna boat. The idea to build the first sauna boat in the Netherlands was born.
ARNE & MARTIJN
Since Maria was already running her own business (AMK Atelier), Arne asked his childhood friend Martijn to join the project. Togethe they strive to get as many people as possible to have this unique experience. Martijn's experience in film and television is reflected is all the beautiful footage you see.
After two renovations, Maria and Arne had really gotten the hang of it. Under the guidance of Maria's brother, they decided to build the sauna themselves in Sweden. Arne and Maria received help from the whole family. Once the sauna was finished, it was transported to the Netherlands. To Enkhuizen, to be precise, the town where Arne grew up. This historic harbor city is full of expertise in boat building. Here, the boat was completed.
